The corner strategy is the single most effective technique for consistently reaching higher dog tiles in 2048 Dogs. Here's exactly how it works.
The Basic Idea
Pick one corner of the board — for this example, bottom-left — and commit to keeping your highest-value tile there for the entire game. Every move you make should protect that tile's position.
Which Two Directions to Use
If your anchor tile is bottom-left, you'll mostly move left and down. These two directions push everything toward your anchor without disturbing it. Only move up or right when you have no other legal move available.
Building the Row Above Your Anchor
Your bottom row should hold your largest tiles in descending order moving away from the corner. The row above it continues the pattern in the opposite direction, so each row naturally "snakes" into the next.
What Happens When You Break the Pattern
The moment you move your anchor tile away from its corner — even for a tempting merge — your descending order collapses, and the board becomes much harder to manage. This is the single most common way high-scoring runs fall apart.
Practicing the Strategy
